🪑 **Furniture Hardware Kitting & Packaging Operator**
🏢 **About Us:** A large, modern furniture manufacturing facility specializing in case goods and upholstered furniture is hiring a Kitting & Packaging Operator for our hardware department. Our factory in Grand Rapids is equipped with advanced machinery and ensures a safe, comfortable environment for our team.
📦 **Core Duties:**
• Kit furniture hardware (screws, cam locks, dowels, hinges, handles, drawer slides) according to the product bill of materials (BOM).
• Visually inspect hardware kits for defects (thread damage, chips, color mismatches).
• Weigh and pack fasteners and small parts into polyethylene and paper bags using electronic scales.
• Insert detailed paper assembly instructions into every hardware kit.
• Heat-seal bags using manual or semi-automatic impulse sealers.
• Apply stickers with the furniture set name, SKU, and barcode to each packed unit.
📋 **Requirements:**
• High concentration, neatness, fast hand motor skills, and good coordination for handling small parts.
• Discipline, strong work ethic, and ability to perform repetitive tasks on a production line.
• No medical contraindications for moderate physical labor and excellent visual acuity.
• Prior experience in furniture manufacturing or warehouse kitting is a plus (we also train beginners).
