🏭 **Metal Stamping Press Shift Supervisor**
🏢 **About Us:** A powerful, full-cycle domestic machine-building enterprise specializing in hot and cold metal stamping, metalware production, and instrumentation components is hiring a Shift Supervisor for our stamping shop. Our facility in Pittsburgh is equipped with modern hydraulic and mechanical presses of various tonnages.
🔨 **Core Duties:**
• Manage the shift production crew (press operators, stampers, automated line operators, material handlers).
• Monitor the operation of presses, stamping dies, and auxiliary equipment; react swiftly to breakdowns.
• Distribute production tasks evenly among shop workers based on their skill levels.
• Ensure strict adherence to production quotas and the release of high-quality stamped parts per shift.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products against blueprints and specs; prevent and track scrap.
• Organize the supply of sheet metal, coils, and raw materials to work zones, and manage scrap metal removal.
• Enforce OSHA safety, PPE compliance, and internal labor discipline.
• Maintain shift documentation, handover logs, and time-tracking records.
📋 **Requirements:**
• Vocational or higher engineering degree (Metalworking, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy).
• 2+ years of supervisory experience (Shop Master, Senior Stampler) in a metal stamping facility.
• Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic press mechanics, die structures, and forging/stamping equipment.
• Knowledge of cold and hot stamping technologies, leadership skills, stress resilience, and discipline.
