🏢 **About Us:** A rapidly growing metalworking enterprise specializing in high-precision cutting of sheet metal parts and structures is hiring CNC Laser Operators. Our shop floor in Raleigh is equipped with the latest fiber laser cutting complexes.
⚙️ **Core Duties:**
• Ensure high-quality, high-precision artistic and industrial cutting of sheet metal (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum) on a modern fiber laser machine.
• Perform optimal part nesting on metal sheets using specialized CAD/CAM software to minimize material waste.
• Load part drawings and control programs into the machine memory; adjust cutting regimes based on metal type and thickness.
• Prepare equipment for operation: monitor focusing lenses, replace protective glass and nozzles as needed.
• Inspect the geometric dimensions of cut parts using calipers, micrometers, and custom templates.
• Change assist gas cylinders (oxygen, nitrogen, compressed air) and monitor cooling system parameters.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance (cleaning/lubricating guideways, removing slag from the work zone).
📋 **Requirements:**
• Vocational/technical education (technical college or high school diploma with machining focus).
• 1+ year of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (fiber laser experience is a major advantage).
• Confident PC skills and understanding of CAD/CAM systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Lantek, CypCut).
• Ability to read complex mechanical blueprints and understand GD&T (tolerances and fits).
• High responsibility, attentiveness, and ability to make independent decisions in non-standard situations.
