🏢 **About Us:** A modern, high-capacity plant for recycling secondary polymers and manufacturing various plastic products is hiring a Chief Technologist. Our production facility in Houston is equipped with advanced injection molding and extrusion lines.
⚠️ **Important Note:** The "remote" tag is strictly for working with normative documents, compliance certificates, and online management meetings. The core duties of a Chief Technologist require your constant on-site presence in the plant's production halls in Houston to tune equipment and control product quality.
🔬 **Core Duties:**
• Continuously select and adjust optimal technological regimes for injection molding machines (IMM) and extrusion lines.
• Develop new polymer blends; calculate the percentage ratio of primary to secondary raw materials, additives, and colorants.
• Conduct lab tests on the physico-mechanical properties of finished plastic products and control incoming raw material quality.
• Compile and update technical specification sheets, calculate material consumption norms, and optimize the production cycle.
• Implement measures to prevent defects (short shots, flash, silver streaking, warpage) and analyze root causes.
• Organize the rational use of secondary production waste (crushing, granulating, and re-introducing into the mix).
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Technology.
• 3+ years of experience as a Technologist or Chief Technologist in polymer/plastics manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of polymer properties (PP, PE, PS, ABS, PVC, PA) and their processing nuances.
• Understanding of IMM mechanics, molds, extruders, and peripheral auxiliary equipment.
