🪵 **Wood Sorting Conveyor Operator**
🏢 **About Us:** A modern, high-tech logging and deep-wood processing enterprise producing premium dimensional lumber for domestic and export markets is hiring a Conveyor Operator for our log sorting yard. Our facility is located directly in Boise, ID.
⚙️ **Core Duties:**
• Manage the automated sorting line and ensure the uninterrupted transport of raw logs directly to the sawmill.
• Conduct visual quality control of timber during transit, rejecting defective, rotted, or non-compliant wood.
• Swiftly identify and clear minor technical faults, log jams, and conveyor belt misalignments.
• Adjust the raw material feed speed based on current sawmill load and cutting tempo.
• Clean equipment, rollers, sensors, and the surrounding area from sawdust, bark, and woodchips.
• Strictly enforce OSHA safety, occupational health, and fire safety rules around heavy woodworking machinery.
📋 **Requirements:**
• Vocational/technical education or high school diploma (technical focus preferred).
• 1+ year of experience as a conveyor operator, sorting line operator, or general laborer at a sawmill/woodworking plant.
• Knowledge of conveyor mechanics, operational rules, and basic preventive maintenance.
• High attention to detail, quick reflexes, good physical shape, stamina, and ability to work in a noisy industrial environment.
