A fast-growing general contractor in Austin, TX, is seeking an Interior Finisher & Drywall/Masonry Specialist to join our interior build-out division. We focus on high-end retail spaces and corporate offices, which means the finish quality must be absolutely flawless.
a) Preparing substrates: removing old materials, patching, and applying bonding agents.
b) Hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding drywall to a Level 5 finish for painted surfaces.
c) Applying veneer plaster or traditional cementitious plaster to achieve specific architectural textures.
d) Installing acoustic ceiling tiles, metal stud framing, and interior glass partitions.
e) Conducting final touch-ups and ensuring every surface meets the architect's strict tolerances.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in commercial finishing. You should be comfortable working with laser levels, mixing compounds, and using hopper guns. Attention to detail is non-negotiable here. We pay $75,000 USD annually, piece-rate options are available for high performers, and we provide all Hilti tools and materials. Work is strictly on-site at our various Austin locations.
