We are a structural engineering firm based in Vancouver, BC, specializing in mass timber and reinforced concrete structures for the Pacific Northwest market. We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our calculations and detailing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex load calculations, designing foundation systems (piles, mat foundations), and detailing steel connections. You will work directly with senior engineers to ensure our designs meet the National Building Code of Canada and local seismic requirements. You will also prepare comprehensive material take-offs and coordinate with rebar detailers.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. 3+ years of experience in structural design, specifically with concrete and steel.
3. Proficiency in structural analysis software like ETABS, SAP2000, or RISA.
4. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit Structure for 3D modeling and clash detection.
5. EIT or P.Eng. designation (or working towards it).
We offer a salary of $85,000 CAD, a comprehensive benefits package, and a hybrid work model (though the core calculation work requires on-site presence at our Vancouver office). You will work on landmark projects and receive mentorship from senior structural experts.
