Description

A major civil infrastructure contractor in Phoenix, Arizona, is hiring a Civil Site Supervisor to lead our underground utility crews. We specialize in the installation and rehabilitation of municipal water, sewer, and storm drain systems for city and county projects. If you know how to manage a trench, coordinate heavy equipment, and keep a crew safe in the desert heat, we want you on board.

Your core duties:
- Supervising daily excavation activities, including trenching, shoring, and dewatering operations.
- Directing the laying and joining of various pipe materials (HDPE, PVC, ductile iron) for water and sewer mains.
- Overseeing the installation of manholes, catch basins, and utility vaults, ensuring proper grades and alignments.
- Coordinating hydrostatic pressure testing and pipeline disinfection/flushing prior to final connection.
- Managing the backfilling and compaction process, ensuring all materials meet spec and avoiding damage to newly laid pipes.

What we require:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
- Minimum of 4 years as a foreman or supervisor on heavy civil or underground utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of trench safety (OSHA excavations), pipe joining methods, and compaction testing.
- Ability to read civil grading plans, pipe profiles, and understand survey stakes.
- Excellent leadership skills to manage a diverse crew of operators, laborers, and pipefitters.

Our offer:
- A competitive salary of $85,000 USD per year, plus a generous per diem and vehicle allowance.
- Full-time, on-site position managing active utility projects across the Phoenix metropolitan area.
- Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) with company match.
- Provision of all necessary site technology (tablets, layout software) and communication tools.
- A strong commitment to safety, with regular training and top-tier PPE provided.
