Description
A leading facade and glazing contractor in Vancouver, BC, is looking for an experienced Window & Door Installer to join our installation division. We supply and install high-performance aluminum, wood-clad, and fiberglass fenestration products for multi-family residential towers and commercial buildings. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a commitment to weathertight building envelopes.
Your daily tasks:
a) Carefully removing existing windows and doors, preparing the rough openings, and repairing any damaged framing.
b) Setting and leveling heavy window units and storefront doors, ensuring perfect plumb, level, and square alignment.
c) Securing frames using appropriate fasteners (concrete screws, anchors) according to structural engineering details.
d) Applying high-quality flashing tapes, sealants, and backer rods to create a continuous air and water barrier.
e) Installing interior trim, exterior cladding interfaces, and adjusting hardware (hinges, locks, openers) for smooth operation.
What we need from you:
a) Minimum of 2 years of experience installing commercial or high-end residential windows and doors.
b) Strong understanding of building envelope principles, flashing details, and seismic movement requirements.
c) Ability to read installation details and interpret architectural elevations.
d) Physical ability to handle heavy glass units safely, using suction cups and glazing lifts when necessary.
e) A professional demeanor when interacting with clients, general contractors, and other trades on site.
Our compensation package:
a) An annual salary of $60,000 CAD, plus overtime pay for weekend work.
