Join our industrial construction team in Houston, where we build and maintain the complex piping networks for the petrochemical and energy sectors. We are looking for a skilled Pipefitter / Industrial Welder who is comfortable working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping in high-pressure environments. If you have a steady hand, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety, we want you in our union.
Your daily tasks will involve interpreting isometric drawings and P&IDs to layout, fabricate, and weld pipe spools. You will be performing SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welds on pipes ranging from 2 inches to over 24 inches in diameter. You will also be responsible for rigging and setting heavy pipe racks, installing valves and flanges, and ensuring all welds meet the stringent quality standards required for radiographic and ultrasonic testing.
To be successful, you must be a certified welder with at least 4 years of experience in industrial or commercial pipefitting. You need to be proficient in reading complex isometric drawings, using precision measuring tools, and operating grinders, torches, and welding machines. A strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to zero-incident culture are essential.
We offer a highly competitive wage equivalent to $80,000 USD annually, plus substantial overtime opportunities and per diem for travel. You will receive full union benefits, including health, pension, and annuity. This is a physically demanding, on-site role at various industrial facilities in the Houston Ship Channel area.
