Our boutique design-build firm in Miami specializes in creating breathtaking luxury pools, spas, and wellness centers for high-net-worth clients. We are seeking a Luxury Tile Setter & Mosaic Specialist who treats tile installation as an art form. This role is for a meticulous craftsman who understands the chemistry of waterproofing and the aesthetics of complex patterns.
You will be working on highly complex, curved surfaces, including infinity edges, vanishing walls, and custom spa seating. Your responsibilities include preparing the substrate using premium cementitious boards and applying multi-layer waterproofing systems (like Schluter-Kerdi or Laticrete). You will then meticulously lay glass, stone, and ceramic mosaics, ensuring perfect alignment, consistent grout lines, and flawless transitions. Cutting intricate shapes and managing the delicate epoxy grouting process without haze or staining will be part of your daily routine.
We need an artisan with at least 4 years of experience in high-end residential or commercial pool tiling. You must have a deep understanding of thin-set mortars, epoxy grouts, and the specific challenges of submerged environments. An eye for design, patience, and the ability to work from detailed architectural drawings are critical. A portfolio showcasing your past mosaic and pool work is required.
We offer a salary of $65,000 USD annually, with piece-rate bonuses for exceptional craftsmanship. You will be supplied with the finest Italian materials, specialized cutting tools, and a climate-controlled work environment when in the shop. This is a fully on-site position at luxury residential properties across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
