A boutique design-build firm specializing in ultra-luxury residential penthouses and flagship retail spaces in central London is seeking a meticulous High-End Interior Fit-Out Superintendent. We do not do standard commercial builds; our projects demand absolute perfection, where every millimeter matters and the finish quality must match the architect's visionary drawings.
As our lead on-site manager, you will be the guardian of quality. Your daily routine involves coordinating a complex dance of specialized sub-contractors—from bespoke joinery makers to artisanal plasterers—ensuring they work in the correct sequence without damaging each other's finished work. You will be constantly checking geometric tolerances, ensuring walls are perfectly plumb, corners are exactly 90 degrees, and large-format porcelain tiles are laid with minimal lippage.
a. Managing the day-to-day operations on-site, enforcing strict quality control and safety protocols.
b. Interpreting complex architectural and interior design drawings, identifying potential clashes before they become costly mistakes.
c. Ordering and tracking high-end, often imported, finishing materials to ensure they arrive on schedule and are stored correctly.
d. Acting as the primary point of contact for the client, lead designer, and MEP engineers, translating design intent into physical reality.
e. Compiling detailed snag lists and ensuring every single defect is rectified before the final handover.
We require a candidate with at least 5 years of experience specifically in luxury or high-end interior fit-outs. You must have a deep understanding of modern finishing techniques, including complex joinery, natural stone installation, and specialized wall finishes. A keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under the high pressure of demanding clients are essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 per year, plus a performance bonus tied to project delivery. You will be provided with a company vehicle, a mobile phone, and all necessary measuring equipment. This is a strictly on-site role across our various premium projects in Greater London.
