Description

A multidisciplinary architectural and engineering practice in Dublin is seeking a talented Civil Site Design Engineer to join our land development team. We are currently working on several large-scale residential neighborhoods, mixed-use commercial parks, and public realm projects across Ireland. We need someone who can take a blank canvas and design a functional, beautiful, and compliant site layout.

Your primary focus will be the "outside the building" engineering. You will be designing the master plans, calculating cut and fill volumes, and laying out the internal roads, parking areas, and pedestrian pathways. You will work closely with the architects to ensure the building footprints fit perfectly into the site topology and that all stormwater and utility requirements are met.

• Developing detailed site layout plans, including road geometries, parking lot design, and pedestrian circulation networks.
• Performing complex grading and earthwork design, creating cut/fill balance plans, and designing stormwater management systems (SuDS).
• Designing external services layouts, including water, wastewater, and drainage networks, and coordinating with utility providers.
• Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to create dynamic surface models, alignments, and profiles, and generating automated quantity take-offs.
• Preparing planning applications and coordinating with local authorities to ensure all designs comply with Irish planning laws and building regulations.

We require a candidate with a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in site development or land surveying. You must be an advanced user of AutoCAD Civil 3D. A solid understanding of highway design standards and drainage principles is essential. You should have excellent spatial visualization skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-engineers.

We offer a salary of €62,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. You will work in our modern, collaborative office in Dublin city center, with flexible hybrid working options available after the probation period. We provide continuous professional development support, including funding for chartership. This role is primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
