A high-end commercial finishing contractor in the Pacific Northwest is looking for a skilled Commercial Airless Painting Specialist to join our interior fit-out division. We handle large-scale office build-outs, luxury multi-family common areas, and high-end retail spaces where a flawless, factory-like finish is the standard.
This is not a basic "roll and brush" job. You will be operating high-pressure airless spraying equipment to apply primers, sealers, and topcoats on massive wall and ceiling areas. You need to understand the chemistry of modern coatings, how to prep the substrate perfectly, and how to tune your spray rig to avoid dry spray, runs, or orange peel. If you take pride in a perfectly smooth, mirror-like finish, this is the role for you.
+ Preparing large-scale drywall and plaster surfaces by sanding, skimming, and applying glass mat or mesh to ensure a perfectly smooth substrate.
+ Setting up, operating, and maintaining high-pressure airless spray rigs (Graco, Wagner), including flushing, cleaning, and replacing tips and filters.
+ Spraying high-build primers, epoxies, and premium interior finishes (acrylics, silicones, calcimine) to achieve a consistent, defect-free coat.
+ Masking and protecting adjacent surfaces, floors, and installed fixtures to ensure a clean, professional job site.
+ Troubleshooting finish defects, adjusting fluid pressure and fan patterns, and ensuring proper ventilation and PPE usage at all times.
We require at least 3 years of professional experience in commercial painting, with specific expertise in airless spray application. You must have a deep understanding of surface preparation techniques and the technical data sheets for various coating systems. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently at your own pace are essential.
We offer a competitive wage equivalent to $68,000 USD annually, with opportunities for overtime. You will be provided with a company vehicle, a gas card, and all specialized spraying equipment and PPE. This is a fully on-site role, traveling to various premium project locations across the Greater Seattle area.
