A prominent real estate development and investment firm in Boston is seeking an experienced Owner's Representative to act as our eyes, ears, and technical authority on our active construction projects. We are developing a portfolio of mixed-use, life science, and institutional buildings, and we need a seasoned professional to ensure our interests are protected and the project is delivered to the highest standards.

You will not be turning the wrenches, but you will be holding the superintendents and subcontractors accountable. You will review the daily reports, inspect the work in progress, and verify that what is being built matches the approved drawings and specifications. You will be the gatekeeper for quality, safety, and schedule, reporting directly to the development team.

# Conducting rigorous daily site walks to inspect work in progress, ensuring compliance with the contract documents, building codes, and quality standards.
# Reviewing and approving contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples to ensure they meet the design intent and project specifications.
# Verifying the contractor's schedule and pay applications, checking that the percentage of work claimed matches the actual physical progress on site.
# Managing the punch list process, tracking deficiencies, and ensuring all systems are fully commissioned and operational before final acceptance.
# Leading weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, documenting decisions, and ensuring all action items are followed through to completion.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, with at least 7 years of experience in construction management or owner's representation. You must have a deep understanding of construction means and methods, contract administration (AIA documents), and building systems. Strong negotiation skills, impeccable integrity, and the ability to command respect from general contractors are mandatory.

We offer a highly competitive salary of $115,000 USD per year, plus an annual performance bonus. You will receive a comprehensive executive benefits package, including premium health insurance and a 401(k) match. A company vehicle or transit pass will be provided. This is a primarily on-site role, requiring you to be present at our active construction projects in the Greater Boston area.
