Roughing in a 20-story commercial building requires a different mindset than fixing a leaky sink at home. It’s about precision, speed, and coordinating with a dozen other trades in tight ceiling spaces. I’ve spent the last ten years mastering the art of commercial plumbing installation.
Between 2014 and 2019, I worked for a large mechanical subcontractor in Amsterdam, running cast iron and copper for high-rise residential towers. I became highly proficient in operating heavy threading machines, setting complex bathroom pods, and installing large-diameter HDPE piping using butt fusion. Since 2019, I’ve been working on large-scale hospitality projects, installing intricate spa plumbing, commercial kitchen grease traps, and complex storm water drainage systems. I’m very comfortable reading 3D BIM models on a tablet and coordinating my pipe routes with the HVAC and electrical teams to avoid clashes.
I hold a valid VCA certification and a specialized ticket for working at heights and in confined spaces. I’m seeking a lead plumbing installer role with a major mechanical firm in Amsterdam. My salary expectation is €55,000, and I am ready for full-time, on-site work.
