Building a control panel is like building a miniature city; every wire has a destination, every component has a purpose, and there is absolutely no room for error. I’ve been working as an electrical assembler and panel builder in the Austin area for over eight years, specializing in custom industrial control systems.
Between 2015 and 2019, I worked for a large OEM that manufactured packaging machinery. I was responsible for wiring the main control cabinets, installing VFDs, and routing hundreds of meters of multi-conductor cable. I learned how to read complex schematic diagrams and translate them into neat, logical layouts inside the enclosure. Since early 2020, I’ve been working for a systems integrator, building custom PLC panels, motor control centers (MCCs), and automated transfer switches (ATS) for data centers and manufacturing plants.
I’m highly proficient with wire stripping, crimping, and labeling tools, and I always ensure my panels meet UL 508A standards. I use premium components from Schneider Electric and Allen-Bradley, and I test every circuit before the panel leaves the shop. I’m looking for a full-time position in a well-equipped workshop in Austin, targeting $75,000 USD. I bring my own precision hand tools and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship.
