Commercial plumbing is a different beast compared to residential. I’ve been working in the mechanical trade for over five years, starting in 2017 as an apprentice for a large commercial contractor in Washington. Those first three years were spent crawling through ceiling plenums, running cast iron and copper, and installing fixtures in high-rise office buildings.
From March 2020 to the present, I’ve been working as a lead installer and maintenance technician for a facility management company in Seattle. I’m responsible for the ongoing upkeep of complex plumbing systems in large retail and office spaces. This includes troubleshooting leaks, replacing faulty valves and flushometers, and maintaining commercial water heaters. I’m also highly experienced in new tenant improvements, running PEX and copper rough-ins, and installing grease traps and backflow preventers. I’m proficient with press tools, threading machines, and drain cleaning equipment.
I hold a valid plumbing license and my backflow certification. I’m looking for a stable, full-time role with a reputable mechanical or FM company in Seattle, targeting $68,000 USD. I’m reliable, physically fit, and ready to handle the demands of a fast-paced commercial environment.
