Renovating existing spaces, especially in historic or occupied buildings, requires a delicate balance of demolition, structural reinforcement, and high-end finishing. I've spent the last seven years managing complex residential and institutional renovations across Greater London.
* Early Career & Heritage Projects: From 2015 to 2019, I worked for a general contractor specializing in heritage home restorations and school refurbishments. I managed the stripping out of old plaster, the installation of steel beams to open up floor plans, and the coordination of bespoke joinery.
* Recent Experience: Since 2020, I've been running fit-out projects for a main contractor, focusing on premium apartment conversions and hospital wing upgrades. I handle the entire project lifecycle, from initial surveying and material procurement to the final snagging and handover. I'm deeply familiar with UK Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and fire safety standards for multi-dwelling units.
I have a strong network of reliable sub-contractors and my own transit van. I'm seeking a Foreman or Project Manager position with an established fit-out company in London. I expect £55,000 annually and am available for full-time site work.
