Building with concrete and masonry requires precision, physical stamina, and a deep understanding of structural loads. I've been working as a formwork carpenter and mason in Bavaria for over seven years, progressing from an apprentice to a lead crew member on large-scale commercial sites.
a) Formwork & Rebar: Between 2016 and 2020, I worked for a civil engineering firm specializing in infrastructure. I assembled complex Peri and Doka formwork systems for bridge piers and retaining walls. I also tied rebar according to strict structural drawings, ensuring correct cover and spacing before the pour.
b) Masonry & Blockwork: Since 2021, I've been working for a commercial builder in Munich, focusing on the superstructure of multi-family buildings. I lay aerated concrete blocks and clay bricks, ensuring every course is perfectly level and plumb. I also handle the installation of precast concrete elements using cranes.
c) Quality & Safety: I am highly proficient with laser levels and total stations to verify elevations. I strictly adhere to German safety regulations and always ensure my work area is clean and hazard-free.
