A premier regional distribution company in Columbus, OH, is hiring a Route Delivery Driver for our 3-5 ton box truck fleet (Freightliner, Ford F-650, equipped with liftgates). You will be assigned a dedicated vehicle, making you the captain of your rig and the face of our brand on the road.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Multi-Stop Routes: Deliver dairy, snacks, and beverages to 15-20 retail locations, cafes, and gas stations daily.
• Loading & Securing: Verify pallet counts with the warehouse team, load the truck, and secure freight for transit.
• Documentation: Manage Bills of Lading (BOL), delivery manifests, and proof of delivery (POD) signatures.
• Cash Handling: Collect payments from accounts, reconcile daily receipts, and deposit revenue.
• Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily DOT-compliant vehicle inspections (fluids, tires, brakes, liftgate function).
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Valid Driver's License (CDL Class B or Non-CDL depending on vehicle weight/GCWR).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT medical exam.
• Physical stamina for frequent loading/unloading and hand-truck operation.
• Strong navigational skills and customer service demeanor.
