A major building materials supply yard in Houston, TX, is seeking a Delivery Driver. We supply brick, cement, drywall, and insulation to private home builders and commercial construction sites. You will drive a heavy-duty cargo van or flatbed truck (Ford Transit / Ram ProMaster), ensuring materials arrive safely and are staged correctly for the crew.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Construction Site Delivery: Execute a 5-10 stop route to active job sites, residential builds, and retail hardware stores.
• Load Securement: Oversee the loading process at the yard, ensuring heavy items (cement bags) are placed at the bottom and fragile materials are secured on top.
• Manual Unloading: Assist with offloading materials at sites (often involving hand-unloading or operating a Moffett forklift if certified).
• Documentation: Sign off on delivery manifests, change orders, and proof of delivery.
• Fleet Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle upkeep.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Valid Driver's License (Class C / Non-CDL or CDL B).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in outdoor construction environments.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and job site safety protocols.
