A massive automotive parts distribution center in Detroit, MI, is hiring an Order Picker. We manage over 50,000 SKUs, ranging from filters and brake pads to complete engine assemblies. Our facility is a high-tech logistics environment where speed and accuracy directly impact our repair shop clients.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• RF Picking: Use handheld RF scanners (Zebra/Honeywell) to locate, scan, and pick parts for customer and shop orders.
• Bin Maintenance: Ensure inventory is stored in its correct, designated bin location to maintain system accuracy.
• Receiving: Unload supplier trucks, verify quantities against packing slips, and stock new inventory.
• Inventory Audits: Participate in daily cycle counts and monthly full physical inventories.
• System Operations: Use the WMS to print shipping labels, pack orders, and stage them for carrier pickup.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Prior experience in a warehouse, parts distribution, or retail inventory role.
• Comfortable using RF scanners and navigating large warehouse environments.
• High attention to detail (picking the wrong part number causes major delays for repair shops).
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift.
