🚚 **Fleet Dispatcher / Transportation Coordinator**
🏢 **About Us:** A major regional freight and construction materials transport company in Charlotte, NC, is hiring a Fleet Dispatcher. We run a dedicated private fleet of heavy trucks. We need a logistics pro to keep a finger on the pulse of every run, from dispatch to final unloading, ensuring our drivers stay compliant and our freight moves efficiently.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Dispatching: Issue route sheets, trip envelopes, and freight documentation to drivers before departure.
• GPS Tracking: Monitor fleet movement in real-time using telematics software (Samsara, Geotab, etc.).
• Fuel & Compliance: Analyze GPS tracks vs. fuel card transactions to identify inefficiencies or unauthorized fuel use; ensure IFTA and ELD compliance.
• On-Road Support: Coordinate with drivers to resolve border delays, breakdowns, or route changes; communicate with receivers to adjust delivery windows.
• Document Control: Collect, audit, and file BOLs and delivery receipts upon driver return.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• 2+ years of experience in fleet dispatching, transportation logistics, or freight brokerage.
• Deep understanding of heavy truck operations, DOT regulations, and GPS telematics.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Proficiency in TMS and advanced Excel.
