🎧 **Freight Customer Service Representative / Dispatch Agent**
🏢 **About Us:** A major national and cross-border transportation company in Atlanta, GA, is hiring a Customer Service & Dispatch Agent for our inbound logistics hotline. We handle everything from residential moving freight to heavy industrial equipment. You will be the voice of the company, providing rapid quotes, tracking updates, and issue resolution.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Inbound Support: Answer calls from private clients and enterprise shippers, providing accurate transit time estimates.
• Quoting & Routing: Calculate freight rates based on weight, dimensions, and commodity type. Recommend optimal equipment (dry van, flatbed, reefer).
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor load statuses in the TMS/CRM. Liaise with OTR drivers to provide precise ETA updates to anxious customers.
• Claims & Escalations: De-escalate situations involving delayed or damaged freight, offering practical solutions and filing incident reports.
• Data Entry: Log customer interactions, update shipment milestones, and maintain the client database.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• 1+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or high-volume customer service.
• Strong mental math skills and a solid understanding of North American geography and transit lanes.
• Proficiency in TMS, CRM, and MS Excel.
• Clear, polite communication and the ability to handle stressed or frustrated callers.
