🏢 **About Us:** A global import/export trading company in Miami, FL, is hiring a Senior International Logistics Specialist. We import industrial equipment, raw materials, and consumer goods from the EU, China, and Turkey. Your mission is to ensure every shipment clears customs swiftly, avoids border demurrage, and minimizes landed costs.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Customs Optimization: Prepare and audit import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, ISF filings) and coordinate with licensed customs brokers.
• Carrier Negotiation: Contract with freight forwarders and NVOCCs, negotiating ocean freight rates, drayage, and terminal handling charges.
• Exception Management: Resolve border holds, customs exams, and documentation discrepancies rapidly to minimize storage fees.
• Landed Cost Analysis: Calculate total freight costs, including duties, tariffs, port fees, and final mile delivery.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise daily with overseas suppliers, steamship lines, and domestic receivers.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• 3+ years of experience in international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or import logistics.
• Deep knowledge of US Customs (CBP) regulations, HTS codes, and Incoterms.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) for global negotiations.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, multitasking environment.
