🚜 **CDL Class A Dump Truck Driver (Construction / Quarry)**
🏢 **About Us:** A major civil construction and aggregate supplier in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Dump Truck Driver. We extract and transport non-metallic minerals (sand, gravel, crushed stone, asphalt) to road building and commercial construction sites. We need a skilled operator who can handle heavy equipment in rugged, off-road environments.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Pre-Trip Inspection: Check fluid levels, tire pressure, brake systems, and the hydraulic PTO for the dump bed before every shift.
• Loading & Hauling: Position the truck under excavators and loaders at the quarry, ensuring even weight distribution and strict adherence to DOT weight limits.
• Off-Road Navigation: Safely operate the truck on unpaved, dusty, and muddy quarry roads with limited visibility and steep grades.
• Dumping & Spreading: Safely raise the bed and dump aggregates at paving sites or stockpiles, sometimes coordinating with pavers for live-bottom spreading.
• Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance (greasing, filter changes, fluid top-offs) and log daily trip inspections.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Valid CDL Class A (or B) with a clean MVR.
• 2+ years of experience operating dump trucks, live-bottom trailers, or heavy quarry equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor issues on the job site.
• Physical stamina and willingness to work in dusty, dirty, and outdoor conditions.
