🏢 **About Us:** A major meat processing and distribution plant in Chicago, IL, is hiring a Refrigerated Route Driver. We deliver sausages, deli meats, and fresh meat products to supermarkets and restaurants. Maintaining the cold chain (+35°F to +42°F) and strict sanitation protocols is non-negotiable.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Cold Chain Management: Pre-cool the reefer box truck, monitor the thermostat continuously during the route, and verify product temps upon delivery.
• Multi-Stop Routing: Execute 15-20 deliveries to grocery stores and restaurants daily.
• Sanitation: Perform daily washdowns and sanitization of the cargo area using food-grade disinfectants.
• Documentation: Manage BOLs, health department transit logs, and delivery receipts.
• Payment Processing: Collect cash or process invoices from independent stores.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Valid Driver's License (CDL Class B or Non-CDL depending on GVWR).
• Active Food Handler Certificate / Health Department Card.
• 1+ years of experience with temperature-controlled freight.
• Clean driving record and strong understanding of food safety/sanitation norms.
