A custom cabinetry and furniture manufacturer in High Point, NC, is expanding our finishing and packaging department. We build bespoke kitchens and wardrobe systems, meaning every single piece is unique. Your role is the crucial final step where a raw component becomes a finished product ready for installation.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Sanding: Hand-sanding solid wood and MDF facades using orbital sanders prior to painting or lacquering.
• Machine Feeding: Supplying blanks to panel saws and edge-banding machines.
• Hardware Sorting: Organizing hinges, slides, and handles into bins so installers can find them instantly.
• Packaging: Applying protective corner guards and stretch wrap to high-gloss surfaces; boxing parts with foam inserts.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Respect for surface quality: a scratch on a high-gloss facade means a $2,000 remake.
• Patience for repetitive tasks and the ability to follow the lead carpenter's instructions.
• Prior furniture factory experience is a huge plus, but we will train the right candidate in a week.
