Description

🏒 **About Us:**
A custom metal fabrication shop in Miami, FL, is seeking a TIG Welder specializing in stainless steel architectural elements. We don't weld heavy-wall gas pipesβ€”our focus is on decorative and functional pieces: stair railings, balcony balustrades, retail display frames, and food-service equipment. Unlike rough structural welding, our welds are often customer-facing, requiring symmetry, flawless prep, and meticulous cleanup.

πŸ“‹ **Core Responsibilities:**
β€’ Welding AISI 304 and 430 stainless steel (thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 4 mm).
β€’ Reading simple sketches/blueprints and perfectly aligning joints prior to tacking.
β€’ TIG welding in argon with filler wire.
β€’ Post-weld cleanup: mechanical brushing, abrasive blending, and pickling/passivation to prevent rust.
β€’ Autonomous shop organization: managing your own workstation without constant supervision.

πŸŽ“ **Requirements:**
β€’ 2+ years of TIG welding experience, specifically with stainless steel.
β€’ Understanding of heat distortion control (stainless warps easily if not managed).
β€’ Pride in producing welds that look like a "stack of dimes" right off the gun.

✨ **What We Offer:**
β€’ Target Salary: $55,000 USD annually.
β€’ Full-time, on-site role in Miami, FL.
β€’ Steady backlog of custom orders, official employment, and bi-weekly pay.
