A crane maintenance and inspection service in Cleveland, OH, is hiring an Electrician to service overhead bridge cranes, gantry cranes, and monorail hoists at local manufacturing plants. The defining rule of this job: you are responsible for equipment that holds tons of steel over people's heads. Rushing without testing is not an option.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Control Panel Maintenance: Replacing contactors, relays, and tightening lugs in crane cabs.
• Limit Switch Calibration: Testing and adjusting overload limits, upper/lower hook limits, and trolley travel stops.
• Festoon & Conductor Bar Systems: Inspecting cable reels, bus bars, and replacing damaged sections.
• Pendant/Remote Troubleshooting: Repairing push-button stations and radio remote controls.
• Mechanical Support: Assisting millwrights with inspecting brake pads, wire ropes, and gearboxes.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Electrical license and strong diagnostic skills.
• Comfortable working at heights (climbing crane ladders and walking the runway).
• Meticulous attention to detail: You don't ignore a burnt contact or a weird motor surge.
