🏢 **About Us:**
A custom food & beverage equipment fabricator in Milwaukee, WI, is hiring a TIG Welder to build and repair sanitary tanks, brew kettles, and mixing vessels for the dairy and craft brewing industries. We work exclusively with AISI 304 and 316L stainless steel.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• TIG Welding: Fabricating tank shells, dished heads, manways, and sanitary tri-clamp ferrules in argon.
• Leak Testing: Ensuring 100% hermetic seals via kerosene dye penetrant or pneumatic pressure testing.
• Thin-Gauge Mastery: Welding 14ga to 11ga (1.5-3mm) stainless without warping or burn-through.
• Sanitary Finishing: Grinding and polishing internal welds to a smooth, Ra < 0.8µm finish to prevent bacterial harborage.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Proven TIG welding experience on thin-wall stainless steel.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (literally climbing inside tanks via manways).
• Pride in sanitary welds: No undercut, no porosity, no discoloration, and absolutely no internal spatter.
