🏢 **About Us:**
A major poultry processing facility in Indianapolis, IN, is hiring Production Workers for our slaughter, chilling, and packaging departments. We supply chicken and turkey to national grocery chains and foodservice distributors. The work is fast-paced, temperature-controlled, and strictly regulated by USDA standards.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Line Support: Hanging birds, receiving eviscerated carcasses, and moving product between chillers and pack-out.
• Sorting & Grading: Inspecting chilled product and separating into Grade A, Grade B, and further-processing bins.
• Packaging: Placing product into retail trays, operating flow-wrap machines, and applying date/lot labels.
• Sanitation: Power-washing floors, equipment, and tools at the end of every shift to meet food safety protocols.
🎓 **Requirements:**
• Ability to work in a cold environment (45-55°F / 7-12°C); we provide thermal jackets and gear.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical/food safety screening.
• Stamina and discipline: You must keep up with the line speed and adhere strictly to sanitary PPE rules.
