A major agricultural supply and packaging facility in Fresno, CA, is hiring Packaging Operators for our seasonal seed and mineral fertilizer lines (peak seasons: March–May and August–October, with year-round opportunities). We package vegetable, flower, and turf grass seeds, as well as granular fertilizers (NPK blends, urea, ammonium sulfate) in bags ranging from 2 oz to 50 lbs.
📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Precision Dosing: Operating electronic scales to weigh dry bulk materials to within 1 gram accuracy.
• Sealing: Running impulse heat sealers or automated bagging lines to close packages.
• Labeling: Applying product labels with variety name, lot number, production date, and batch codes.
• Batch Integrity: Strict segregation of seed varieties and fertilizer types to prevent cross-contamination.
• Palletizing: Stacking finished bags into master cartons and building pallets for warehouse staging.
• PPE Compliance: Working in respirators, gloves, and safety glasses (fertilizer dust environment).
🎓 **Requirements:**
• High attention to weight accuracy (no short-weights or overfills) and label precision.
• Ability to work in a warm, dusty environment with mandatory PPE.
• Prior warehouse, packaging line, or agricultural experience is a plus.
