🏢 **About Us:**
A tool & die shop in Grand Rapids, MI, is hiring a Toolroom Machinist to fabricate components for injection molds, stamping dies, and custom fixtures. We produce cavities, punches, inserts, ejector pins, guide bushings, and retainer plates for plastic and metal stamping operations.

📋 **Core Responsibilities:**
• Short-Run Production: Machining batches of 1–10 components per order.
• Precision Finishing: Bringing parts to final dimensions after grinding or EDM, holding tolerances to 0.0004"–0.0008".
• Alloy Steel Machining: Working with tool steels (D2, A2, H13, S7) in pre-hardened condition (45-50 HRC).
• Complex Geometry: Cutting precision threads, tapers, and radii on die components.
• Collaboration: Working with designers and EDM operators to bring a component to finished state.

🎓 **Requirements:**
• Vocational training and 4+ years of precision machining experience.
• Mastery of micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and thread gauges.
• Patience and willingness to hold tenths-level tolerances and consult with engineers throughout the process.
