A leading construction and heavy manufacturing firm in Munich is looking for an experienced Head of Accounting & Financial Controller to take full ownership of our financial operations. Our previous controller is retiring after a 20-year tenure, and we need a seasoned professional who can seamlessly step in, manage a team of four junior accountants, and ensure our books are audit-ready at all times.
You will oversee the entire general ledger, manage our complex VAT and corporate tax filings, and ensure strict compliance with German HGB and IFRS standards. A significant portion of your week will be spent reconciling accounts with our network of international material suppliers and local subcontractors. You will also manage the monthly payroll cycle for our 150+ factory and office employees, ensuring all social security contributions and union-mandated benefits are calculated flawlessly.
We require a degree in Business Administration or Accounting, along with at least 5 years of progressive experience in the manufacturing or construction sector. You must have deep expertise in SAP or DATEV, and a proven track record of successfully navigating external tax audits. This is a critical leadership role, and we are offering a salary of €85,000 EUR, plus a company car and a performance-based annual bonus.
