A rapidly scaling manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas, is hiring an FP&A Analyst / Cost Control Specialist to bring order to our financial data. As we expand our production lines, the executive team needs real-time visibility into our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), variance analysis, and departmental budget adherence.
Your primary mission will be to conduct rigorous plan-vs-actual analyses at the end of every month. You will sit down with the plant managers and shift supervisors to understand why a specific production run exceeded its raw material budget, and then translate those operational realities into actionable financial reports for the C-suite. You will also be responsible for calculating the unit economics of our new product lines, tracking margin erosion, and building dashboards that highlight cost-saving opportunities.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Finance or Accounting and 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You must be highly proficient in Excel and have a solid grasp of ERP systems like NetSuite or Oracle. Strong communication skills are non-negotiable; you will frequently need to explain complex financial variances to engineers and operations staff. We offer a salary of $90,000 USD, full health benefits, and a 401(k) match.
