A major logistics and import-export trading house based in Amsterdam is seeking an International Trade Accounting Manager. With our cross-border operations expanding across the EU and into the UK post-Brexit, we need a specialist who understands the intricate dance of customs declarations, foreign exchange hedging, and international VAT reclamation.
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end accounting for our foreign trade contracts. You will work closely with our customs brokers to verify that all import duties and tariffs are correctly classified and accrued. You will also handle the complex process of claiming VAT refunds on our export operations, ensuring we maintain healthy cash flows despite the delays in cross-border tax processing. Additionally, you will reconcile our multi-currency bank accounts, managing the FX gains and losses that come with trading in USD, GBP, and EUR.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Accounting or International Business, with at least 4 years of dedicated experience in foreign trade accounting. You must be intimately familiar with EU customs regulations, Intrastat reporting, and currency risk management. If you are a meticulous professional who thrives on the complexities of global trade, we offer a salary of €75,000 EUR, 30 vacation days, and a hybrid work arrangement.
