Вакансия: Retail Accounting Controller

A growing chain of specialty retail stores across British Columbia is looking for a Retail Accounting Controller to oversee the financial health of our network. As we open our fifth and sixth locations in the Lower Mainland, we need a controller who can ensure that inventory is accurately tracked, POS systems are reconciled daily, and our tax filings are bulletproof.

You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle for the retail division. This means managing the flow of thousands of daily transactions, reconciling our credit card merchant accounts, and conducting surprise physical inventory audits at our storefronts. You will also oversee the accounts payable process for our network of suppliers, ensuring that our stores are never out of stock due to delayed vendor payments. At month-end, you will prepare the consolidated financial statements and present the store-by-store P&L to the ownership group.

We require a CPA designation or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in the retail or e-commerce sector. You must be highly proficient in modern retail ERPs like Shopify Plus, NetSuite, or Lightspeed. This role requires a mix of deep analytical work at our Vancouver headquarters and regular visits to our store locations to understand the operational reality. We offer a salary of $95,000 CAD, plus a generous retail discount and health benefits.
