Description

A mid-sized manufacturing and engineering firm in Berlin is seeking a dedicated Payroll & Benefits Specialist to take over our monthly compensation cycle. With a workforce of over 300 employees, including shift workers, engineers, and administrative staff, our payroll is complex and requires absolute precision. We need someone who can ensure every employee is paid correctly, on time, and in full compliance with German labor laws.

You will be responsible for processing the monthly payroll using DATEV or a similar HRIS system. This involves calculating base salaries, shift differentials, overtime, and performance bonuses. You will also manage the complex administration of employee benefits, including health insurance enrollments, pension scheme contributions, and statutory sick pay. At the end of every month, you will prepare the Lohnsteueranmeldung (payroll tax return) and ensure all social security contributions are transferred to the relevant Krankenkassen.

The ideal candidate holds a certification as a Payroll Accountant (Entgeltabrechner) or a degree in Business Administration, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in German payroll processing. You must have a deep understanding of the BGB (Civil Code), SGB (Social Code), and current tax regulations. If you are a meticulous professional who values accuracy and employee satisfaction, we offer a salary of €50,000 EUR and a hybrid work model.
