A premier commercial real estate management firm in London is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to bring order and transparency to our growing portfolio of office and retail assets. As we acquire new properties and onboard more corporate tenants, we need a financial professional who understands the unique nuances of property accounting, service charges, and lease administration.
Your core responsibilities will include:
a) Generating and dispatching monthly rent and service charge invoices to a diverse portfolio of commercial tenants.
b) Aggressively managing accounts receivable, tracking aging debt, and diplomatically chasing late payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
c) Capitalizing and depreciating major building improvements and capital expenditures (CapEx) in accordance with UK GAAP.
d) Preparing detailed monthly financial statements and ownership reports for our institutional investors and private landlords.
e) Reconciling complex utility bills and municipal rates, passing through the exact costs to tenants based on their lease agreements.
We require a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or a degree in Finance, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience in real estate accounting, property management, or facilities finance. You must be highly proficient in property management software (like Yardi, MRI, or Sage) and possess the diplomatic tact required to resolve billing disputes with high-profile tenants.
We offer a salary of £48,000 GBP per year, 25 days of annual leave, and a 100% remote work setup, allowing you to manage your portfolio from anywhere in the UK.
