A prominent theatrical and live entertainment production company based in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a highly experienced Theatrical & Concert Tour Producer to spearhead our upcoming national and international tours. We specialize in large-scale musicals, avant-garde theater, and arena concerts, and we need a strategic mind to bring our creative visions to life on the road and on the stage.
1) Your primary responsibility is the end-to-end production of live performances. This involves securing funding through a mix of private equity, arts grants, and crowdfunding campaigns. You will be the lead negotiator, drafting and finalizing complex legal contracts with touring venues, talent agencies, playwrights, and directors.
2) You will orchestrate the entire marketing and PR strategy for each show, working closely with digital agencies to drive ticket sales and maximize ROI. Financial oversight is critical; you will build detailed production budgets, monitor cash flow, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure every tour turns a profit.
3) We require a candidate with at least four years of proven success in producing live theater or major concert events. You must have a solid grasp of entertainment law, copyright regulations, and union agreements (such as Actors Equity or local musicians' unions). Familiarity with ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster or TodayTix, as well as modern digital marketing funnels, is essential.
4) This role demands exceptional self-organization and the ability to thrive in a high-stakes environment. You must be prepared for an irregular schedule, especially during the critical pre-production phases and active tour legs. While much of the administrative and financial planning can be managed remotely from our NYC headquarters, you will be expected to travel extensively to oversee load-ins, rehearsals, and opening nights across North America and Europe.
5) We offer a base salary of $75,000 USD per year, supplemented by a lucrative percentage of the net profits from each successfully produced project.
