Description

My journey in the contemporary art world has been driven by a deep fascination with how public spaces can be transformed through visual narratives. I hold an MA in Curatorial Studies from the University of the Arts Berlin, which laid the groundwork for my practical approach to exhibition-making.

Between 04.2016 and 11.2018, I worked as a Junior Curator at a mid-sized contemporary gallery in Kreuzberg. There, I was responsible for scouting emerging artists, writing exhibition texts, and managing the physical installation of artworks. I learned how to negotiate with artists on spatial requirements and coordinate with freelance art handlers to ensure every piece was hung perfectly.

Since late 2019, I have been operating as an independent Cultural Program Director, primarily focusing on securing and managing grants from Creative Europe and the Goethe-Institut. I have successfully curated over ten large-scale public art interventions and performance festivals. My day-to-day involves drafting complex funding applications, overseeing the production of exhibition catalogs, and acting as the primary liaison between international artists, local municipalities, and the press.

I am highly proficient in project management software and possess a strong network within the European arts funding ecosystem. I am seeking a permanent, full-time role with a major cultural institution or contemporary art museum in Berlin, targeting a salary of €55,000. I bring a rigorous academic background, a pragmatic approach to budget management, and a genuine passion for making contemporary art accessible to diverse audiences.
