Welcome to one of London's most prestigious boutique language academies, located just a short tube ride from King's Cross. We are expanding our adult and young learner divisions and are looking for a seasoned ESL Instructor who understands that teaching a language is about building confidence, not just memorizing grammar tables. Our student body ranges from corporate professionals needing Business English for international negotiations to ambitious teenagers aiming for top-tier university placements.
- Designing and delivering high-energy, communicative lessons for small cohorts (maximum 8 students) and VIP 1-on-1 executive clients.
- Preparing intensive cohorts for IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, and Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency exams, including conducting rigorous mock speaking tests and providing granular feedback on writing task coherence.
- Adapting CEFR-aligned syllabi to address specific learner pain points, such as overcoming fossilized pronunciation errors or mastering complex conditional structures.
- Hosting weekly evening 'Speaking Clubs' centered around contemporary debates, TED Talks, and cultural nuances to help students break through the fluency plateau.
- Maintaining meticulous digital records of student progression, attendance, and behavioral notes on our custom-built internal LMS.
What you bring to our faculty:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, TESOL, or English Literature, coupled with a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (DELTA is a massive plus).
- At least 3 years of post-certification teaching experience, specifically with adults and young adults in an international or UK-based context.
- Native or bilingual (C2) English proficiency with a deep, intuitive grasp of phonetics and syntax.
- Tech-savviness: you are completely comfortable pivoting between physical whiteboards and digital tools like Miro, Kahoot, and Zoom breakout rooms without losing the class's momentum.
