In our industry, a failed component in the field is not an option; you will be the final gatekeeper ensuring every flight controller, motor, and airframe meets our exacting standards.
** What you will do every day **
* Conducting rigorous incoming quality control (IQC) on all electronic and mechanical components, from PCBAs and ESCs to carbon fiber frames and brushless motors.
* Monitoring the assembly floor to ensure technicians are following standardized work instructions, proper ESD protocols, and IPC-A-610 soldering standards.
* Designing and executing bench test procedures for fully assembled UAVs, verifying power draw, motor synchronization, and telemetry link integrity.
* Investigating non-conformances, performing root cause analysis (RCA) on defects, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with the production team.
* Maintaining detailed quality records, generating weekly yield reports, and presenting findings to the engineering and management teams.
** Who we are looking for **
* At least 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role within electronics manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive production.
* Deep understanding of IPC standards for electronic assemblies and the ability to identify cold solder joints, bridging, and component misalignment under a microscope.
* Familiarity with UAV architecture, flight stacks (Betaflight/INAV), and the ability to troubleshoot basic firmware or hardware integration issues.
* An uncompromising attitude toward quality and the confidence to halt production if standards are not met.
* A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
We offer a salary of $75,000 USD annually, along with a bonus structure tied to production yield improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role at our manufacturing facility in Austin. You will work in a state-of-the-art lab environment equipped with thermal imaging cameras, oscilloscopes, and automated test rigs.
