Описание

A high-tech drone production lab in Phoenix is looking for a UAV Assembly & Flight Tuning Specialist to take our drones from a box of parts to a perfectly tuned, flight-ready machine. You are the final step in the production chain, ensuring that every quadcopter flies exactly as the pilot expects.

🔧 Your daily tasks will include:
🔧 Performing final firmware flashing and hardware configuration on flight controllers (Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot), ensuring all parameters match the specific airframe and motor setup.
🔧 Calibrating accelerometers, gyroscopes, compasses, and barometers, and configuring radio link protocols (ELRS, Crossfire) and VTX frequency bands.
🔧 Conducting meticulous PID tuning and filter optimization to ensure rock-solid flight characteristics, eliminating prop wash and ensuring smooth stick feel in all weather conditions.
🔧 Testing radio link reliability and video signal quality on dedicated RF test benches, identifying and resolving any noise, interference, or dropout issues.
🔧 Performing mandatory test flights in our indoor netted cage or outdoor flight line to verify stability, failsafe behaviors, and overall airworthiness before shipping.

🔧 What we are looking for:
🔧 At least 1 year of hands-on experience building, repairing, and configuring multirotor drones, with a deep understanding of FPV systems.
🔧 Mastery of Betaflight Configurator, INAV Configurator, and Mission Planner, including advanced menu navigation and CLI commands.
🔧 A solid understanding of RF link budgets, antenna polarization, and the differences between analog, DJI O3, and Walksnail video systems.
🔧 Basic soldering skills and the ability to use a multimeter to quickly diagnose shorts, open circuits, or failed components on the bench.
🔧 A passion for aviation, extreme attention to detail, and the patience to tune a drone until it flies perfectly.

We offer a stable salary of $55,000 USD per year, plus performance bonuses based on daily output and quality metrics. This is a full-time, on-site position at our high-tech assembly lab in Phoenix. We provide all tools, components, batteries, and access to our private flight testing facilities.
