An innovative UAV design and production bureau in Toulouse is expanding its rapid prototyping and low-volume production department. We are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to manage our fleet of industrial 3D printers and turn digital CAD models into flight-ready physical parts. If you are obsessed with layer adhesion, surface finish, and material science, this is your dream job.
a) Calibrating, maintaining, and operating a diverse farm of FDM and SLA 3D printers, ensuring optimal bed adhesion, nozzle flow, and resin curing parameters.
b) Preparing 3D models for print using advanced slicers (UltiMaker Cura, PrusaSlicer, Formlabs PreForm), optimizing support structures, infill patterns, and print orientations for maximum structural integrity.
c) Selecting and processing specialized engineering-grade materials, including PEEK, Carbon-Fiber reinforced Nylon, PETG, and high-temp SLA resins.
d) Performing meticulous post-processing: support removal, chemical vapor smoothing, precision sanding, CNC trimming, and tapping threaded inserts.
e) Conducting dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to verify that printed parts meet strict aerodynamic and mechanical tolerances.
We require at least 1 year of hands-on experience operating industrial 3D printers in a manufacturing or R&D environment. You must have a solid understanding of polymer properties, thermal dynamics, and basic CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for model repair and fixture design.
We offer a gross annual salary of €42,000 EUR, along with French corporate benefits. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Toulouse facility. You will work in a dedicated, well-ventilated additive manufacturing lab equipped with industrial fume extractors, washing/curing stations, and post-processing tools.
