A premier private military training facility in Virginia Beach is looking for a Small Unit Tactics (SUT) & CQB Instructor to train active-duty military, law enforcement, and vetted security contractors. We don't just teach theory; we put students in the dirt, the smoke, and the stress of combat. We need an instructor who has been there, who knows the sound of a suppressed round, and who can teach others how to survive and win.
1] Leading intensive practical exercises in Close Quarters Battle (CQB), including room clearing, hallway transitions, and dynamic entry techniques under low-light and high-stress conditions.
2] Teaching Small Unit Tactics (SUT) for 2-man and 4-man fire teams, focusing on bounding overwatch, react-to-contact drills, and ambush break-contact procedures in both urban and woodland environments.
3] Designing and overseeing trench warfare and fortification clearing scenarios, integrating drone awareness and EW countermeasures into the tactical decision-making loop.
4] Running force-on-force (FOF) simulation lanes using SIMUNITION or UTM marking cartridges, forcing students to make split-second decisions and manage collateral damage.
5] Conducting rigorous After Action Reviews (AARs), breaking down student performance, correcting fatal flaws, and ensuring every lesson learned is internalized.
Mandatory requirements include verifiable combat deployment experience and current certifications in tactical instruction (e.g., NRA LE Instructor, USCCA, or military equivalent). You must possess elite physical conditioning and the ability to command a room with authority and calm. We offer $75,000 USD per year, plus per-diem and range-day bonuses. This is a full-time, on-site role at our 200-acre training compound in Virginia Beach.
