Description

Building a drone that can survive a 40-knot crosswind and a hard carrier landing starts with a flawless airframe design. I am a UAV Structural Design Engineer who combines aerodynamic intuition with rigorous finite element analysis to create lightweight, incredibly strong composite structures.

a) Creating complex 3D surface models and aerodynamic profiles for fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs using SolidWorks and CATIA.
b) Performing static, modal, and buckling analyses using SolidWorks Simulation to validate structural integrity under extreme flight loads.
c) Designing internal payload bays, calculating the Center of Gravity (CG), and engineering custom shock-absorbing mounts for avionics and batteries.
d) Sizing and integrating brushless propulsion systems (motors, ESCs, and propellers) to meet specific thrust-to-weight and endurance requirements.
e) Generating comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings and flat patterns for CNC routing and laser cutting of composite parts.

Between 2019 and mid-2023, I worked at a private aviation startup, where I designed a 2.8-meter wingspan reconnaissance drone from scratch, taking it from a blank CAD file to serial production. I also led a weight-reduction initiative on a strike quadcopter frame, shaving 12% off the dry weight without compromising structural rigidity. Currently, I am developing a 4kg payload drop mechanism for tactical UAVs.

I hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering and an advanced certification in FEA. I am looking for a full-time, remote-friendly position with a European aerospace firm (based in Toulouse), targeting €65,000 EUR annually.
