When a piece of Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment comes back from the field covered in mud and suffering from a dead RF channel, I am the person who figures out why it failed and brings it back to life. I am a hands-on Repair and Test Technician with a deep understanding of high-frequency electronics.
+ Diagnosing and repairing complex RF and digital subsystems in trench-mounted and dome-style EW units.
+ Performing microscopic SMD rework, including replacing blown LDMOS and GaN power transistors in high-wattage RF amplifiers.
+ Terminating and testing high-frequency coaxial connectors and antenna feed lines using SWR meters and spectrum analyzers.
+ Running full functional and thermal stress tests on repaired modules to ensure they meet original OEM specifications.
+ Providing remote technical support and field-deployment consulting to military end-users.
From 2019 to 2022, I worked as an electronics repair technician at a specialized service center, where I successfully restored over 120 damaged RF generation blocks and antenna switches. In 2023, I led a hardware modification project to upgrade the cooling system of a dome-style EW unit, adding custom heat sinks and higher-CFM fans, which reduced thermal shutdowns by 30%. I also established a hot-line support channel for frontline operators.
